Good Morning,

I got the VM you left concerning LCSO 06-080073 while I was in a meeting @ 1600. I received this request on 4/7/08 and we are in the process of locating the call and then making a copy of the tape. FYI, this process can take from 1 - 2 weeks; LCSO Communications provides this evidence to me and their 1st priority is responding to calls for service/911 calls (as it should be). As quickly as it is ready I will let you know.

I am assuming your question about CD's is in reference to one of your other requests on 4/7/08 concerning Willie Colson~ Most LCSO items concerning an "open/active" investigation by either LCSO or SAO (open court cases) are not considered

public records under FS 119 and must be requested via Discovery from SAD (or Court/Judges Order). As a courtesy to you (and others) I try to contact the ASA for authorization from them to release the info (not all ASA's will authorize LCSO to

L
release). However, Records is currently short 3 staff (2 on maternity leave) and since we process hundreds of requests (with ati levels of complexity) each week it can take some time to respond.

Again I apologize for any delay you might be experiencing but we will respond to your requests as quickly as possible. If you should have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Rick

I have been trying to get up with you all day about some radio transmissions and CAD notes for a case that is going to trial on May

5, 2008.

In any event, here is my question: The state provided me with 2 CD of phone calls for the last 18 months for a client of mine. Who

do I contact to get that information directly from the LCSO?
